We completely understand that some designs can be improved when printed onto a custom shape, aiding the visual impact, either close up or at a distance. Therefore, it is not unusuak for us to be asked to produce beer mats with a unique, product specific shape that can fit within our standard beer mats (94mm) or, on occasion a non-standard size mat.
Clearly this type of print order requires a different set uo, but it is nothing we are not familiar with or equal to. As an experienced beer mat manufacturer we have complete control over all print and production so we really do know a thing or two about the what works and what doesn’t.
Not suprisingly, anything that falls outside our standard production runs requires extra attention with the clue being in the description, ‘custom’ or ‘special’. To create a custom shape, we will have to order a unique cutting forme (unless we have one in stock) and the price of this will be largely dependent on the size of the cutting die. In addition, wheter it fits within our 94mm dimensions or if it needs to be manufactured in a non-standard size. However, this should not discourage you, requests for custom shapes and non-standard sizes are almost routine and the costs need not be that detrimental. That said, it does mean that we will have to provide you with a specific Quotation based on your precise specifications.
We only manufacture and print beer mats and this is because we truly believe in the value of our product and it means we have a genuine commitment to getting it right every time. From design through to delivery, we will actively work with each of our customers to get the right design and print to maximise the return on their investment. Our knowledgeable team is here to help and we have an enviable reputation for service, reliability and attention to detail.
It is worth noting that whilst we can produce custom shapes in volumes as low as 1,000, the cost of the cutting die, means a more realistic quantity would be closer to 5,000 and above which will allow you to amortise the cost of the die over a larger number of beer mats, reducing avaerage the cost per unit. Of course, once we have produced the die, you can use it again and again. However, we don’t dictate to our customers, instead we offer up practical advice and guidance. If you want 1,000 beer mats with a custom shape or non-standard size, we will do precisely that.
From a practical perspective, non-standard sizes and custom shapes have to be planned and scheduled, therefore it is not possible to commit to our usual (standard run) dispatch time of 5 working days. A more realsitc expectation should be set at 3 to 4 weeks. If your needs are more urgent, then give us a call
and we can try and make a plan.
Remember, that beer mats can also be an interactive tool and an imaginative use of ‘cut outs’ could, for example, see your beer mats used for something like ‘finger football’. See the image on this page. Other examples of custom beer mats we have been asked to produce include mats in the shape of a house for a mobile phone network, in the shape of a CD for a music company and in the shape of an apple and pear for a cider maker. These are but a handful of examples to get the creative juices flowing.
Therefore, if you believe your design could be enhanced through the introduction of a custom shape and/or non-standard size, don’t let this this discourage you. We are ready, able and willing to consider your ideas and, if at all possible, we will deliver on them. If you have the budget, then we have the skills, motivation and experience to bring your creative ideas to life. Complete our Online Request Quotation Form

Our beer mat board is sourced from suppliers that adhere to the sustainable forest programme. For every tree that is felled, at least one seedling is planted in it’s place.
We use vegetable based printing inks rather than the cheaper conventional petroleum based ink. Much lower emissions during the drying process and simplifies the recycling process.
Our beer mats are 100% recyclable and can be placed in the paper or cardboard waste bin. We practice what we preach by recycling all our board skeletons and related waste.
